The core zone is the zone of no human activity. It is an ecosystem which is legally protected and undisturbed. The manipulation zone is also known as the transition zone. It is the outermost zone of the biosphere reserve. It is an area where certain human activities such as the cropping, recreation, settlements etc are allowed without distrubing the environment.
