The Corn Laws were tariffs and restrictions on imported food and grain ("corn") enforced in Great Britain between 1815 and 1846. They were designed to keep grain prices high to favour domestic producers, and represented British mercantilism.

when the farmer of Britain were not able get enough money of there product produced by them so they pressured government to apply corn law so nothing food produces could be imported in Britain but by this prices increased of grains so now people pressurized government to remove corn law and by this my farmers of Britain left there home to find employement in different corner of the worlds
