the cell in the stratum granulosum do not divide , but instead from skin cell keratinocytes from the granules of keratin . these skin cell finally become the cornified layer ( stratum corneum) the outer most epidermal layer, where the cell become flattened sacks with their nuclei located at one end of cell.
