• Corpora quadrigemina are four solid lobes on the dorsal portion of the midbrain.

• It forms the ceiling of the mid brain. It is also called as tectum. 

• It controls auditory and visual responses.

• It has four "bumps" called the superior colliculi and the inferior colliculi.

• Functions:-

—»The superior colliculi acts as the visual reflex center.

—» The inferior colliculi functions as the audio reflex center.
