corrosion:- its a chemical reaction which converts the surface of a metal from an element to a compound .it can be oxides , sulphides or hydroxides.it makes the material weak and eventually by time it almost destroys it.eg is iron kept in open ..

balanced eqn:- a eqn is called as balanced eqn when the no. of each element of reactant side is equal to that of the product with charge.

eg - Mg + O2 = 2MgO.... reaction

2Mg + O2 = 2MgO ....balanced eqn
