Chemical in air
Moisture
oxygen hydrogen.

Factors affecting it are:

1. The environment/ composition of air surrounding the material.

2. Nature of the material. This can be found out from the reactivity series.

3. Surface exposed to corrosion. More the suface area, more prone to corrosion it is.
