Corrosion is the process of slowly eating away of metal due to attack of atmospheric gases on the surface of metal result into formation of oxide ,sulphide,carbonates is called corrosion.
Corrosion in Iron called rusting.

It prevent by galvanisation,barrier protection, electrical protection ,using antirust solution etc.
