what is corrosion ?how to prevent it? examples? .

ganesh6: the tarnishing of metal oxide in presence of air and water is called corrosion.

preventive measures:- 1)alloying

2)galvanizing 3)painting, etc;

11))when the iron is kept outside it will get brown colour is called corrosion

decaying of certain objects causes corrosion.for example rusting of iron.
it can be prevented by
painting- painting of iron objects prevents iron in coming in contact with moisture.
coatind iron objects with other metal.[also called ganvanisation.

corrosion is also known as rusting.

preventive measures are:-painting, galvanizing,preventing it from coming in contact with water,air .

eg- iron gets corroded when it reacts with oxygen and water.
