Corrosion is eating up of surface of a metal by acids or moisture or exposure to atmosphere. Rusting of iron take place in presence of moisture.

corrosion is a chemical change which affect the metal in which it is corrode
when water and air both react with iron causes corrosion. A brown powder which destroys the iron bonds are formed.
