Nouns which can be counted is known as countable noun
E.g. - oranges , pen etc
Nouns which cannot be counted is known. as uncountable noun
Eg.- rice, hairs, water etc.

Countable ( or countables) are the names of objects, people, etc. that we can count, e.g. pen, apple,ball, boy, sister, doctor.


Uncountable nouns (or uncomfortables) are the names of things which we cannot count, e.g.,oil, milk, sugar,gold,honesty. They mainly denote substance and abstract things.
Countable nouns have plural forms while uncountable nouns do not.

For example, we say "books" but we cannot say "milks"
