Critical Pedagogy is a philosophy in teaching that allows students to challenge power structure, hierarchies and equality patterns that exist within the current system. By this, they are allowed to question authority and critically evaluate opinions that they have been taught. It is assumed that students can take control of their own learning, by this method.
Critical Pedagogy allows students to investigate, evaluate and control. But if not controlled and moderated properly, it can result in breakdown of system. To avoid such instances of breakdown, a well moderated, rational system of Critical Pedagogy, should be encouraged and managed at schools.
