The crops which are sown in rainy seasons are called as Kharif Crop. Generally from June- September.
The sowing of Kharif crop starts at beginning of southwest monsoon and harvested at the end of season during September.
examples : Paddy, Maize, Groundnut
Rabi Crop:
The crops grown in winter season are called as Rabi season.
The best time period is October to March. The sowing of Rabi crops begins at october and harvested by march or April.
Some of examples are : Wheat, Grams, Peas, Mustard etc.
