When different crops are alternatively grown on a same piece of land is called crop rotation.

■ Advantages :-

□ Production is high .

□ Soil fertility is also maintained .

□ There is a least use of fertilisers.

□ Life cycle of pests and pathogens are broken down.

□ So, chances to spread disease is very less .

Crop rotation means the growing of a series of dissimilar or different types of crops in the same area in sequenced seasons. It is done so that the soil of farms is not used for only one set of nutrients.
Its advantages are :
1. Better Nitrogen Management
2. Reduced land and water pollution.
3. Improve soil structure.
4. Water conservation.
5. Prevention of soil erosion.etc...
