The process of growing different variety of crops in an agricultural year is known as crop rotation. It helps in increasing the fertility of soil without leaving the land idle as every crop has different miniral and nutrient requirments. Like after growing wheat you can grow rice etc.

Answer:

Crop rotation is the process of growing one crop after the other (successively), which are dissimilar in type.

Explanation:

Crop rotation is practice, so that the soil of the field is not only used for one type of nutrients. When we keep on growing the same type of crop back to back over some time, the soil gets depleted of some type of nutrients, hence resulting in less production of the crop.

Crop rotation helps in renovating the nitrogen in the soil.
