➡Cross-cutting Social Differences. Cross-cutting differences happen when one type of social difference is weakened by another set of social differences.

➡ Then, it becomes difficult to group people into a single category because they are going to have different opinions and views on different matters.

#More info:-

If social differences cross-cut one another,it is difficult to pit one group of people against other.

♀️Cross cutting differences refer to social difference which cross-cut each other we would find it difficult to find which group is against the other.

♀️These groups may have similar views on some issues and different on other issues it is difficult to pit one group against the other because here groups may share common interests as well as different views on other matters.

♀️For example, Netherlands ,class and religion cut across each other, Catholics and Protestants are equally likely to be rich and poor. In such a situation accommodation of interests becomes easy for the political class.
