The flower is the reproductive pat of a plant. The flower consists of the the male gametes in the stamen called pollen, the female gametes in the pistil called ovaries. The transfer of gametes into the pistil of the flower is called pollination. The agents such as bees that help in this process are called as pollination agents.
The transfer of the male gametes (pollen)of one flower into pistil of the same flower is called self pollination.
The transfer of pollen of one flower into the pistil of another flower is called cross pollination
