1) The uppermost layer of the Earth's surface.

2) The crust is further divided into 2 parils: Ⓐ Continental Crust
Ⓑ Oceanic Crust

3) It is the thinnest layer of all

4) It is about 35km in Continental Crust and the main mineral constitution of the continental mass are silica and Alumia. Therefore it is called sial.

5) It is only about 5km in Ocean floors and the oceanic crust mainly consiots of slica and magnesium. Therefore it is called as ' sima '.
