current is the flow of electrons per time l =q/t. It is a scalar quantity though it has a direction because it doesnot obey vector algebra

Find net resistance

If you observe 2 , 1 and 2 in series so there net is

2+1+2 = 5

And 5 is in parallel with 1 so net

 =  \frac{5 \times 1}{5 + 1}  =  \frac{5}{6}

So I = V/Req = 5/(5/6) = 6 A
