In meteorology, a cyclone is a large scale air mass that rotates around a strong center of low atmospheric pressure, counter-clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere as viewed from above. Cyclones are characterized by inward spiraling winds that rotate about a zone of low pressure.

• Cyclones are type of naturals disasters. It's also known by the name of Typhoon and Hurricane.

• Cyclone develops as a result of formation of low pressure pockets over the ocean bed. As a result of this the air from the higher concentration moves towards lower pressure pockets causing wind to blow with high speeds.This reults in creation of a tremendous swirl in the ocean. This causes the cyclone.
• The air speeds are very high and Cyclones are generally accompanied by heavy rain. The weakest point of any cyclone is it's centre, also called the eye of the cyclone.
