A cyst is a sac that may be filled with air, fluid or other material. A cyst can form in any part of the body, including bones, organs and soft tissues. Most cysts are noncancerous (benign)

Hy,
A cyst is an entity which consists of fluid, semifluid or gaseous content and is not created by accumulation of pus. It may or may not be lined by epithelium. This definition was given by Krammer.
Examples of cyst occuring in oral region- Radicular cyst, Odontogenic keratocyst, dentigerous cyst.
