Dalton atomic theory:-

The Dalton atomic theory given by john Dalton in 1808

  • all the atoms is made up of small particles of matter
  • atomss not be created and not tried
  • atoms of the same element have same mass, chemical properties
  • atoms of different element have difference mass ,size and chemical properties
  • atoms cannot be divided
  • atoms are of various kinds. they are as many kinds of atoms as are elements
  • chemical combination between two or more elements consists in the joining together of atoms of these elements to form molecule of compound
  • the number and kind of atoms in a given compound is fixed
  • during the chemical combination, atoms of different elements combine in small whole number to form compound
  • atoms of the same element can combine in more than one ratio to form more than one compound
