The Indian government passed this bill in the Parliament, to protect the privacy of a citizen in this digital age and to do it as a duty of all citizens to respect others privacy. This bill is the stepping stone to form “Data Privacy Authority” to protect personal data of all the people in India, and for dealing with related topics. It provides the right to withdraw the data, but only for compulsory and legal reasons. It specifies methods and principles to collect, transfer, and storage of data. It also deals with surveillance and specifies penalties for offences.
