DBMS stands for database management system.It is used to organise data in a meaningful and summarised manner.

There are two types of databases -

  1. Relational database
  2. Flat file database

Advantages of database -

  1. Efficiency
  2. Data redundancy is reduced.
  3. Duplication of data is reduced.
