The dead burnt plaster is basically gypsum.
When plaster of paris the burnt at 373k all the water molecules present in plaster of paris will get dehydrated or liberated and form an anhydrous calcium sulphate which in turn in known as gypsum.
Here is the preparation:
CaSO.2H2O (Above 393 K)-------->CaSO4 +2H2O
CaSO4.2H2O= Gypsum.
