hey there:
Decompostion reaction is a reaction in which a compound splits up into two or more simpler substances. It is carried out by heat, light and electricity.
a.. Heat decompostion :-
CaCO3___heat decompostion_>CaO + Co2
(calcium carbonate) (calcium oxide)
b.. Electrolysis :-
When electric current is passed through acidified water, splits upto form two simoler substances. by using electricity.
2H2O__electricity__>2H2 + O2
c.. light decompostion :-
in the presence of light
2AgCL__light__>2Ag + Cl2
hope it helps
