AnswEr :

Decomposition Reaction :

Decomposition Reaction is a type of Reaction in which an Single Substance break into two or more Substances & it is the opposite of the combination Reaction.

Example of Decomposition Reaction:

\sf Na{2}Co_{3} \longrightarrow Na_2O + CO_2

There are types of Decomposition Reaction:-

  • Thermal Decomposition Reaction
  • Electrolytic Decomposition Reaction
  • Photo Decomposition Reaction

Thermal Decomposition Reaction:

In this Reaction a single substance breaks in to two or more Substances by heating.

Examples of Thermal Decomposition Reaction:

\sf CaCo_3 \longrightarrow \: CaO + CO_2

 \sf 2Pb(No_{3})_{2} \longrightarrow \: 2PbO + 4NO_2 + O_2

Electrolytic Decomposition Reaction:

In this Reaction an Electric Current is passed through Compound's Solution It is Electrolytic Decomposition Reaction.

Example of Electrolytic Decomposition Reaction:-

 \sf 2H_{2}O \longrightarrow 2H_2 + O_2

Photo Decomposition Reaction:

In this Reaction a single substance breaks into two or more Substances by exposure to light.

Examples of Photo Decomposition Reaction:-

\sf 2AgBr \longrightarrow 2Ag + Br_2

\sf 2H_{2}O_{2} \longrightarrow 2H_{2}O + H_{2}
