what is defination of calculus

priyankame901: Calculus the mathematical study of continuous change, in the same way that geometry is the study of shape and algebra is the study of generalizations of arithmetic operations. It has two major branches, differential calculus (concerning instantaneous rates of change and slopes of curves),and integral calculus (concerning accumulation of quantities and the areas under and between curves).
kon27: cool thanks
kon27: this is better tha other two answers
kon27: you are a bit late to the party :D

the branch of mathematics that deals with the finding and properties of derivatives and integrals of functions, by methods originally based on the summation of infinitesimal differences. The two main types are differential calculus and integral calculus.

Hope this helps
