Collenchyma : This tissue consists of living cells. It shows many features of parenchyma but it is characterised by the deposition of extra cellulose at the corners of the cells. In Collenchyma ,intercellular spaces are generally absent. They often contain a few chloroplasts.They are located below the epidermis of dicotyledon stem and pitiole .
Sclerenchyma:They are dead cells and they are devoid of protoplasm. The cell walls of sclerenchyma are greatly thickened of lignin. The sclerenchyma occurs either in patches or definite layers. They are found in stem, roots, veins of leaves, hard covering of seeds and nuts
