Motion :

An object is said to be in motion if it's position changes continuously with respect to time.

Types of motion :

motion along a straight line

when a body moves along with a straight line that is x-coordinate,it is known as one-dimensional motion of a particle .

Types of motion in straight line

Uniform motion - if a body covers equal distance in equal intervals of time in a straight line is called uniform motion.

Non-uniform motion - When a body covers unequal distance in equal interval of time is called Non-uniform motion.

motion along circular path :

A body , moving with uniform speed along a circular path is said to be circular motion.

Measurements of motion :

speed - The distance travelled by a body per unit time.

Distance - The total length of the path covered by a moving object.

Displacement - The shortest distance between the initial and final point is called displacement .

Acceleration - The rate of change of velocity is acceleration.

Velocity - The rate of change of displacement.

Equations of motion :

The relation between initial, final velocity, distance, acceleration, time is called equations of motion.

There are three equation of motion
