Deforestation :

       In simple words deforestation means removal or cutting down of trees. It also refers to the decrease in forest areas across the world that are lost for other uses such as agricultural croplands, urbanization, or mining activities. It causes a lot of damages to our environment or  the clearing or thinning of forests by humans. The loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change, desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and a host of problems for indigenous people. The picture shows deforested area in the middle of a forest.
