Deforestation in India takes place due to overpopulation and shift agriculture. Due to increase in population there is no space for residence and hence trees are cut off to clear the area . Shift agriculture although banned also gives rise to deforestation . This is a serious problem because the Global Warming is increasing and we need to have more and more trees .
