What is demineralised water? How is it obtained?

Water which is free from the mixture of any minerals is called Demineralised water.
It is the water present in rivers,seas,etc.

Demineralized water is a matter in which almost all the mineral ions in it are removed.
It can be obtained through the method of ion-exchange resins
