It's used to describe a system of government where power is held by the citizens. They can impact important decisions, either directly or through the people they elect. Democracy is based on freedom and equality between all people.

A Democracy is a form of government which is elected by all people above 18 years of age by using Universal Adult Franchise .

In a Democracy , everyone above 18 years of age elect their Government . It is always based on Universal Adult Franchise ( meaning anyone above 18 yrs of age can vote no matter of gender , education , property , etc . ) . In this system , a government is elected after a fixed period of time .
