Answer:

  • Democracy refers to a form of government in which the people either have the authority to choose their governing legislators, or the authority to decide on legislation
  • a government is the system or group of people governing an organized community, generally a state. In the case of its broad associative definition, government normally consists of legislature, executive, and judiciary
  • Electoral systems are the detailed constitutional arrangements and voting systems that convert the vote into a political decision. The first step is to tally the votes, for which various vote counting systems and ballot types are used. Voting systems then determine the result on the basis of the tally.

Answer:

Democracy is a form of government in which the rulers are elected by the people. One chief factor common to all democracies is that the government is chosen by the people. It also helps students to demarcate between democratic and non-democratic governments. From the non-democratic government, take the example of Myanmar, where rulers were not elected by the people. Those who were in charge of the army of the country took over as rulers and people had no say in this decision. Dictators like Pinochet (Chile) are not elected by the people. This also applies to monarchies.

A government is a group of people that have the power to rule in a territory, according to the administrative law. This territory may be a country, a state or province within a country, or a region. The government may be various types of : Democratic, Parliamentary, Presidential, Federal or Unitary.

The democratic government is a body of representatives. These representatives are chosen through a system of regular, free and fair elections. The party or candidate receiving majority of votes in an election is declared a leader or representative of the voters is called electoral politics
