Democracy as a Political System of Competition for Power. Democracy is a means for the people to choose their leaders and to hold their leaders accountable for their policies and their conduct in office.

In democracy teh rulers are accountable to the fulfil their needsIn democratic governments people elect their rulers and have right in decision making. The parliament is a seperate body and has no interference of army. All the citizens have right to vote irrespective of race, caste , religion etcPeople are allowed to express their viewsE.g. India
Non-democratic

The rulers are not accountable to teh people and their needs. In non democratic governments people do not elect their rulers and have right in decision makingThe parliament cannot pass a law about the army without the consent of the chief of armyThe citizens of the country have no right to vote. There is no freedom of expreesion,so people are not allowed to express their views.E.g. saudi arabia, zimbabwe.

Hope this will help you..... ✌
