Answer:

Here's what some of the 5th graders have to say about density: Araceli: Density definition: density is how tightly pack the particles are in a object. So if you put an object in water and floats it is less dense than the water.

Explanation:

Araceli: Density definition: density is how tightly pack the particles are in a object. So if you put an object in water and floats it is less dense than the water. If you put an object in the water and it sinks it is more dense than the water. Mainly if an object floats it is less dense, and if it sinks it is more dense.

Hailey: There are many different things you can measure to find the density. It will either sink or float. You can use a solid, or liquid. If an object sinks it is more dense than the liquid you put in. If it floats it is less dense. When we tried to find liquids we used a graduated cylinder. If we were incorrect about which was more or less dense it would form under or on top.

Lakon: Density is whenever you put something in water or any other liquid if it floats that means that the object is less dense then the liquid but if it is more dense then the liquid it will sink.
