Density is Mass by Volume .
SI unit of mass is kg.
And, the SI unit of volume is cubic metre

Therefore, SI unit of density is Kilogram per cubic metre.

Or CGS unit is gram per cubic centimeter

Unit of DENSITY is--> Kg/m^3 (or) g/m^3

You can simply derive it by the formula---> Density= Mass/Vol.
                                                                                 =Kg/m^3
 Where kg is unit of mass and m^3 is the unit of volume
