Bonjour!

When a highly reactive metal displaces another metal from its compound is known as displacement reaction.
When zinc is added to copper sulphate solution zinc displaces copper from copper sulphate solution to form Zinc suplhate + Copper.

Zn(s) + CuSO4(aq) ———» ZnSO4(aq) + Cu

I hope this answer helped you.

luciferxixo: who you talking to?

1)Displacement Reaction* is a type of reaction where one of the two reactants displace an element or chemical involved in the reaction to form products.

2) Zn(s)+ CuSo4(aq) ------> ZnSo4 (aq) + Cu(s)

This is because here a displacement reaction occurred between Zn and Cu where in the reactants Cu was with So4 , Zinc displacement Cu and formed ZnSo4.

Hope it helps
