Development means to progress in order to achieve a certain goal. These goals are different for different people or groups of people. Development can involve any area of specialization such as health, finance or education

Different people have different developmental goals according to their needs.

For example:If a family from poor background gets a new stove in their kitchen, they are very happy and satisfied. But the family from rich background needs their whole kitchen to be changed as they have much money.

Answer:

Development means progress or improvement in lifestyle. Different persons can have different developmental goals. What may be development for one may not be development for another. A  girl expects as much freedom and opportunity as her brother, and that he also shares in the household work. Her brother may not like this. Similarly, to get more electricity, industrialists may want more dams. but this may submerge the land and disrupt the lives of people who are displaced- such as tribal.

Hope it helps!
