Diwani Rights were rights granted for British East India Company to collect revenues and decide civil cases.

When war with Mir Qasim (Mir Kasim) started British rethroned Mir Jafar on throne.

Mir Jafar died in 1765 succeeded by son, Najm-ud-daulah.

During signing a treaty he too was powerless living off Company’s allowances and political and administrative powers were usurped by British Company.
