Diabetes insipidus is a disease caused by the hyposecretion of ADH or vasopressin. This hormone helps in reabsorption of excess water from urine. Its hyposecretion means that there will be excess water in urine and its taste (yuck) will be tasteless or insipid.

Diabetes insipidus is a condition arises due to hyposecretion of ADH or vasopressin in which a person suffers from frequent urination, resulting in loss of water from the body and becomes thirsty.
