Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease which is most commonly known as "diabetes"..
It is a group of metabolic disorders associated with abnormally high sugar levels of glucose in the blood..
it is caused due to inadequate proportion of secretions of insulin and glucagon by pancreas..
Glucagon is responsible to increase blood sugar levels..
whereas insulin is responsible for decreasing blood sugar levels..
therefore,, either higher secretions of Glucagon or the lower insulin secretions are the causative mechanisms of diabetes..
symptoms of diabetes include,,
frequent urination
increased thirst
increased hunger
hope it helps.. ;)
