Diaphragm is a sheet of muscle present below the lungs.
It helps in breathing in and breathing out.
when we breathe in air, the diaphragm and muscles attached to ribs contract due to which our chest cavity expands.
this expansion movement of chest increase s the volume inside the chest cavity. due to increase in volume, the air pressure decreases inside chest cavityvand air from outside rushes into lungs through nose , nostrils, trachea and bronchi. and reverse happens when we breathe out.
