The green plants which obtain their food partly from insects are called insectivorous plants. Example -Pitcher plant, Sundew plant, venus fly-trap plant etc.However, the plants which live on or inside another organism and derives their food from it are called parasitic plants. Example - Cuscuta plant.

Tis are generally grown in nitrogen deficient soils.
Pitcher plant .....in which modification of leaf as a trap known as pitcher to capture the pray this is a type of insectivorous plant
