Asexual reproduction is a method where only a single parent is involved . It occurs in absence of seeds.The offspring obtained is the clone of its parent . In vegetative reproduction ,the cells do not split off but form an extension of the vegetative parts which give rise to new plants.

Some common practices of vegetative propagation are :
