➡️Sandy and clayey soils differ from each other in various parameters such as -

1️⃣Grain sizes - Sand is coarse compared to clay which has very fine particles

2️⃣Plasticity - Sand is non plastic material where as clayey soil is identified for its plasticity

3️⃣Shear Strength parameters - Sandy soils possess shear strength due to internal frictional angle between particles where as clayey soils have its shear strength (cohesion) based on the cohesion between particles.

4️⃣Compressiblity - Clayey soils are more compressible (based on soil properties) compared to sands.

HI HERE IS THE ANSWER

SANDY SOIL:
→ MORE THAN TWO-THIRDS OF SANDY SOIL IS SAND , AND ABOUT ONE-TENTH IS CLAY .

→ IT IS MADE UP OF LARGE PARTICLES WITH LARGE AIR SPACES .

→ IT IS WELL SUITED FOR FRUIT AND VEGETATION CULTIVATION.

CLAYEY SOIL:

→ MORE THAN TWO-THIRDS OF CLAYEY SOIL IS CLAY .

→IT IS MADE UP OF FINE PARTICLES WITH SMALL AIR SPACES .

→ IT IS GOOD FOR MAKING POTS.
