what is difference b/w mass and weight


mubssir: weight means force by which our body is attracted towards the earth.it depends upon g i.e 9.8 m/s but mass means the total amount of substance in our body.....it remains constant but weight changes when planet changes

mass remain same at every medium and weight changes according to the medium . Example - when we go to moon our weight changes .But the mass of an object Say X not changes

mass is a constant quantity but weight changes according to the gravity of a place. for example if we take a wooden block of mass 1 kg its mass will always 1 kg and can't be changed but if we lift this block in air and then in water the weight of the block will change.
