The claim is the thesis of the argument. So its just one component. A claim is to demand as one's own or as one's right, forexample to make a claim for a thing (money or property) or for a right (to be free from an unreasonable search or seizure).
whereas..A statement or conclusion that answers the original question/problem. Scientific data that supports the claim. The data needs to be appropriate and sufficient to support the claim. A justification that connects the evidence to the claim.
