What is difference between bathing soap and washing soap

bathing soap are just normal soaps which are sodium or potassium salts of long chain carboxylic acid whereas washing soaps are a slight mixture of detergents which are ammonium and sulphonate salts of long chain carboxylic acids.

Bathing soap are potassium salts of long chain fatty acids. They are usually soft and are also free from unused alkali. Washing soaps, on the other hand, are sodium salts of long chain fatty acids. They are usually hard and also contain some residual alkali.
