what is difference between breathing and respiration?


jahnavi98: breathing is just inhaling and exhaling... respiration involves taking in of air, exchange of gases at lungs, transportation of oxygen to cells, collection of carbon dioxide, utilization of oxygen for production of ATP

The process of release of energy from the assimilated food is called respiration. While,the breathing refers to expel the air containing carbon dioxide from lungs in exchange of oxygen.
Respiration is of two types aerobic and anaerobic respiration. Breathing is a part of respiratory.

4. It take place inside the cell.

5. Oxidation of glucose take place.
